The Elite Amateur Golf Series (EAGS), launching in summer 2022, has partnered with Golf Puerto Rico to provide playing opportunities for top Puerto Rican amateurs and juniors to compete in EAGS championships. Additionally, one of the top finishers in the 2022 Elite Amateur Cup point standings will be awarded a Golf Puerto Rico exemption into the PGA TOUR’s 2023 Puerto Rico Open.

The eighth edition of the Latin America Amateur Championship (LAAC) will be contested at the Grand Reserve Golf Club in Puerto Rico, January 12-15, 2023. This marks the first time
that Puerto Rico will host the LAAC.
The Grand Reserve Golf Club
, home of the Puerto Rico Open since 2008, will also host the 7
th
U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball Championship
this spring from April 20-24. This will mark the first time a USGA championship has been held outside the United States mainland.
The
EAGS is committed to elevating amateur golf that includes promoting other playing opportunities in leading state, regional and national events. Further, the EAGS is supporting a similar effort with elite women’s amateur events to provide similar opportunities for the best female amateurs in the world.
The Elite Amateur Golf Series events are the
Sunnehanna Amateur, Northeast Amateur, North & South Amateur, Trans-Mississippi Amateur, Southern Amateur, Pacific Coast Amateur and the Western Amateur.
