WEST POINT, MS (July 14, 2021) - First round results of the 115th Southern Amateur Championship of the Southern Golf Association hosted by Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point, MS, on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 (7088 yards, par 35-36-71, 74.7/144). The 115th Southern Amateur Championship is presented by STITCH® Golf.

Connor McKinney of Perth, AUS, Reid Davenport of Austin, TX and Maxwell Moldovan of Uniontown, OH each fired an impressive seven-under-par 64 to tie and co-lead round one.
McKinney and Davenport each carded five birdies and an eagle during their round. Moldovan fired nine birdies and two bogeys to remain atop the leaderboard.
Austin Fulton of Villa Rica, GA, Tommy Stephenson of Carlsbad, CA, Karl Vilips of Lathlain, AUS and Kieran Vincent of Lynchburg, VA stand T4 after round one. Each carded six-under 65 to finish one stroke below the round leaders.

The format is 72 holes of stroke play, 18 holes daily. The field will be cut to the low 66 players and ties after two rounds.
Round two begins on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at 7:30 a.m. off #1 and #10 tees at Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point, MS.

Entries are open to any male amateur golfer who has a current USGA Handicap Index® not exceeding 3.4 under the World Handicap System as of the close of entries.
